Valentines for the Ida-Dads!

I didn't want to be too hasty in posting our Valentine's Day project for our awesome husbands...but perhaps I have pushed it off for too long given that it is now March 2nd.  Oh well.  We had a ton of fun and took some very cute pictures which are too good not to share.  Jami found a fun project on Pinterest (gotta love it for easy toddler craft ideas!).  Here's the original:

It just so happened that all of our husbands would be out of town for the 2nd to last weekend in January.  We thought this would be a great time to get crafty and make some homemade valentines without ruining one of their surprises.  To recreate our version of this craft the moms just used painters tape to cut out a message on card stock.  Then we gave the kiddos some acrylic paint on paper plates.  They got to work layering our messages with fun colors and hand prints.  I think their handiwork speaks for itself.

All of the dads loved their homemade Valentines and it was a fun way to pass a Saturday when they were gone.  Here are some of our pictures from that day.

Until next time...which will not be 2+ weeks!
